Felipe Giménez’s wine story runs different than most. His parents emigrated from Spain to Argentina where they first grew grapes in Mendoza. After many years, Spain beckoned them and their son back, where they took up making wine in Spain’s best appellations, combining their new-world knowhow with Spain’s legendary terroirs. In Priorat, the Gimenez family have 38 hectares in some of the choicest vineyards with their famed licorella soil.
