Bodegas Los Pinos was officially founded in 1863, but viticulture in the estate dates back to the late 1700s under the ownership of Vicente Puig i Cubelles (1761-1819). With 60 Has of vineyards on sandy loam soils, Bodegas Los Pinos is the first organic winery in Valencia and the second one in Spain, obtaining its certification in 1990. In 2007 the Ferri Family acquired the property, renovated the old cellar, and invested heavily in new technology with a renewed commitment to the production of organic wines without added sulfites at this historic location and soils with a viticultural tradition spanning over 380 years.
